You will be in the gym following a program that is safe and appropriate for your age and ability.

You will have online access to your training program so you can keep of your training.

About us:

Marist College - Ashgrove is the flag ship school for Acceleration. The program was established in February 2001 through the vision of both Stewart Briggs from Acceleration and Brendan Kiernan - Director of Sport for Marist College.

Over the years
the program has grown from just 13 students to over 200 hard working students. This growth is a testament alone to the outstanding results these young men have been achieving at the school.

The facilities at Marist College are first class. Upstairs on the mezzanine the athletes warm up and increase their stability. In the weight room the athletes develop their strength and power with body weight, dumbbell and barbell exercises. The program includes flexibility, core activation, stability, power and strength exercises to better prepare the student/athletes for their present and future sporting competitions. The young men at Marist College - Ashgrove have an excellent facility which lends itself to this type of holistic, enthusiastic and challenging program.

Another feature included in our program is Squad Specific Performance Testing. This testing measures things such as flexibility, power, and strength. Acceleration has developed a database software which will e-mail the participant and his parents/guardian with the login details to view the results so that you and your family can see the improvements made in those areas.

Marist College - Little Accelerators Program

Most Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings at 8:45am all of the Year 5 & 6 students congregate at the Champagnat Centre for a short session (5-10 minutes) with an Acceleration Cpach who leads the boys through a series of exercises that can help with one or many of these areas:

  • Static Stability
  • Dynamic Stability
  • Flexibility
  • Footspeed
  • Strength
